Members and friends (all ages, including children and youth) of Diamond Lake Lutheran Church are invited to join a trip to Greece and Türkiye, following in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul and early church leaders.
Travelers will experience the New Testament come to life, renewing baptismal promises at Lydia’s baptism site, standing atop Mars Hill where Paul preached in Athens, and visiting the Island of Patmos, where John wrote Revelation.
The group will explore Corinth, Ephesus, Thessaloniki, and Philippi, visiting the sites of the church communities to which Paul wrote his letters. The journey also includes visits to Delphi, the monasteries of Meteora, and the islands of Crete, Mykonos, Rhodes, and Santorini. Participants will explore Greek mythology, tour ancient ruins, and visit the Panathenaic Stadium, home of the first modern Olympic Games.
The trip will feature wine and olive oil tastings, learning about icons, and plenty of Greek food. Along the way, travelers will deepen their connection to scripture and to each other.
Space is limited so please reserve your spot soon. Brochures and registration materials are available in the Commons Area at Diamond Lake Lutheran, or you may contact the church office at 612-866-2579 to have them emailed to you.
