Wildfires have destroyed more than 12,000 homes and businesses, and have led to injuries and loss of life. Though we don’t yet know the full impact of the fires, Lutheran Disaster Response is present to support the families and communities that are rebuilding their lives and is coordinating with the Southwest California Synod and Pacifica Synod to assess the needs of people impacted by the wildfires. These groups are working together to provide for immediate needs amid the destruction as well as to assist with recovery efforts for months and years to come.
